Backup PRTG Recommendation

Hi,

we know that PRTG has a proprietary database.

The recommendation is that to guarantee an integral backup of the bank's data, the ideal is to turn off the service to copy the files to another place.

So I thought...

Our PRTG server is installed on a virtual server and we protect it using a solution that takes a snapshot of the virtual server.

We know that many backup solutions use data protection methods during the snapshot that used Windows VSS, but this has caused a problem with PRTG, causing loss of connectivity during the backup process.

What does PRTG recommend for data protection of database data?

Hi Sandro,

We recommend to stop the services for PRTG when you backup the database because of data Integration.
