PRTG remote probes updates: Pause any notifications?

Votes:

0

Hi,

Well here's my problem: When the core server updates itself and after that starts sending the update to the remote probes, all the notifications (email alerts) located on the remote probes go crazy. How can I pause all the remote probes alerts, when the update procedure occurs?

Thank you in advance,

Thomas

Dear Thomas,

There would be two options to pause the notifications:

  1. Pause the notification templates you added to the sensors/devices/groups on your Remote Probe. For this navigate to Setup > Account Settings > Notification Templates and pause the templates.
  2. Set a maintenance window on your probe. For this navigate in Settings > Schedules, Dependencies, and Maintenance Window in the devices overview of the Remote Probe.

Kind regards

Hi,

Thank you for your fast response! Well, I would like to pause all the remote probe alerts automatically, when it goes to "sending update" state. Is that possible?

Dear Thomas,

In default that's not possible. You may need to create a script for this. I found an article which may help you.

Kind regards

Felix
