Hello,

Have you tried adding the SQL 2017 sensors to this device? If there wasn't anything changed for the WMI counters then they should work.

To my knowledge we should be working on sensors for SQL 2019, but I do not have an ETA at this time.

Hi Benjamin, I have tried adding it, but I get the error message 8004100E: The namespace specified could not be found

Hello,

OK, then it would appear there are some changes we have to make on our side to make those sensors compatible with SQL 2019. Again, I have no ETA at this time. But keep checking out our release notes for updates on new sensors.

Hi,

if you had older SQL server in your environment you could try to clone this device (with WMI Microsoft SQL Server sensor) and change DNS name to MS SQL 2019 Server name. It works in our environment.

Hello,

We should, hopefully, be releasing the SQL 2019 sensor with our next stable release.

Check the release notes when it comes out to see the details.

This is correct! The upcoming stable release of PRTG includes the WMI Microsoft SQL Server 2019 sensor and is going to be released on September 15th.
