How to change unit from Kbits to Mbits in Sensor Factory Sensor?

Votes:

Hi there,

I tried to do this:

  1. 4:COMMCORP[mbit] channel(2278,0)

But only the name of the unit changes. The data keeps been showing in Kbit/s. I want it to change to Mbit/s. Is it not possible?

factory-sensor kbit-s mbit-s

Hello,

Thank you for your post.

The unit you add in the "Channel Definition" is just a string, it is not treated as a actual unit, so no conversion from Kbit/s to Mbit/s is made here. When you enter a "Custom Unit" here, the sensor takes the Raw values that it receives from the device and displays them. To get the value in Mbit/s, you would need to calculate this by dividing the raw data values.
