Syslog server on PRTG

Hi Team,

We have many devices on our organization that must send logs to one syslog server centralized. If i have 10 devices on PRTG then i must create one sensor syslog receiver by device, and this is a lot. Please there is any solution to create globaly one sensor per server PRTG for all devices ? and then filter by some fields (Ip Address, hostname, ....) to find the device that we are looking for.

Many thanks for your help.

Hello abdeljalil,

Syslog sensors cannot be created via auto-discovery because the sensor does not poll. It is a pure receiver and does not even know who the sender(s) ist, so it cannot check for availability. You could create one and clone it to further devices, but each cloning operation clones to exactly one target.

Manual creation is the only useful option.
