Anybody have an SSH advanced sensor script written that uses passenger-status --show=server? It returns JSON. I'm trying to get server health without needing to use http with never expiring auth credentials.

passenger rails ssh

Hi,

we currently have no sensor for this. But you can try to write your own and format the output, so that it can be consumed by the SSH advanced sensor. Please take a look at the following documentation, on how to do this: https://www.paessler.com/manuals/prtg/custom_sensors

I find your guidance for making a custom sensor very opaque. And there are virtually no samples to reference. Are there any existing SSH advanced sensors that use XML or JSON?

You can find some example scripts here and here.
