Hello,

this error comes from the monitored webserver:

10.5.1 500 Internal Server Error

The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request.

See also http://www.w3.org/Protocols/rfc2616/rfc2616-sec10.html

Please check the Webservers logfiles, to see if the reason is "explained" there. Maybe the webserver does not accept PRTGs HTTP agent.

i investigated it and also tried curl and wget and what i found is that the problem is with the site certificate . for some reason curl does not work without instructing it not to check the certificate. can this be done on PRTG?

I'm afraid not.

I would like to add that it would be very helpful to be able to check encrypted connections with certificates that are not issues by a big CA.
