restore from backup on another server

Hello!

My "server" on Win7 is crashed, where PRTG was installed. I was unable to start it. I still have a backup PRTG that the server regularly did on its own. I installed Windows 10 there and the latest version of PRTG. Now PRTG is started. I try to recover my config from backup file. I replace all folder PRTG Network Monitor in ProgramData\Paessler from backup but with wtis files server did not start. In core.log i see:

5596 Core> MomoAdjustKindId System
5596 Core> LoadFromXML Done
5596 Core> Installed: 08-08-2020 22:37:50 Created: 23-08-2013 05:57:51 License: 08-08-2020 22:38:23
5596 Core> Startup: Loading Configuration File: Error (new Login name already exists)
4612 Core> Stop Done
4612 Core> System Cleanup Done

Is there something I can do to revert my old configuration in this situation?

Did you rename your PRTG Administrator account (or named another one prtgadmin) by any chance? Please open up the PRTG Administration Tool, open the Administrator tab and rename it to prtgadmin. Afterwards, PRTG should work properly.

Indeed, I renamed the admin account as it was on the old server. Now, I renamed it back to prtgadmin, copy old config to new server and it's started! Thanks!

Awesome, glad it did the trick! :) Have a great time, and let me know if you require further assistance upon migration.
