PRTG: send message on IP + port trough TCP

Votes:

0

Good evening,

is it possible to send out from PRTG an ASCII type message trough TCP on desired IP + PORT following the alarm event (notification template). Our 3rd party system is listing on its IP address + desired port and will perform configured action triggered by the message from the PRTG?

Can you help me with this topic?

Thank you very much and have a nice evening.

Best regards Pavol

Hi Pavol,

per default there is no such option.

One option is to trigger a custom script, which can send such ASCII messages. Or check your 3rd party system if it provides additional mechanisms to trigger actions, like a http url which you can trigger with the "Execute HTTP Action" setting.

Kind regards,
