Specifically, I'd like to add the last edited date to each map in a consistent format, and possibly the map name

Thank you for your message.
I`m afraid that PRTG doesn't have native objects for it and therefore customizations are necessary. As PRTG evolves, we do not provide official support for customizations, as it would take us time to troubleshoot if something goes wrong.
However, to display the name of the map, you can use the custom HTML element which is located under the Custom HTML section. Here is a KB article which may help you: https://kb.paessler.com/en/topic/11523-how-to-add-text-to-a-map
