80041003 - not permission to perform the action

Hi team,

We have been getting this strange issue when trying to monitor a server 2016 machine on AWS, it is a Workgroup machine We created user account called prtg and granted the following permissions:

  • administrators
  • Distributed COM users
  • Performance Monitor Users
  • Remote Desktop Users
  • Remote Management Users

but kept getting error - 80041003: The current user does not have permission to perform the action

when testing in Paessler WIM Tester version 2.3.3.8, from another computer

however if we changing to administrator account (the buildit one), it is working fine.

we can confirm administrator account only in Administrators group and nothing else.

we tried restart but no help.

firewall is off too but I don't think it is the case as administrator account is working fine.

Can you advise?
