How to Monitor Non-Web Based Server Certificates

I'm trying to monitor server certificates in the Cert Store of a Windows based server. The SSL Certificate sensor seems to work off of a web site. These servers don't have web sites. How can I monitor certificates in the certificate store?

Hello,

Thank you for your message.

I'm afraid there PRTG doesn't have native sensors to monitor certificates stored on Windows. However, you can monitor them by writing a script that you can use with the EXE/Script sensors whose documentations are provided below:

Please, have a look to this manual to see how to return values into PRTG: https://www.paessler.com/manuals/prtg/custom_sensors

I also invite you to have a look to this KB article regarding this matter: https://kb.paessler.com/en/topic/51583-is-it-possible-to-monitor-machine-certificates-of-windows-server

Kind regards.
