I am trying to monitor Windows servers 2016, 2012 and 2019 with PRTG 20.4.64.1402, but they are presenting me with the following problem: (80070005: Access is denied) (code: PE015). I trying to setup process, Memory and hard disk sensors

It is important to mention that I have carried out tests with the WMI Tester app, and all the tests are successful.

I have checked multiple times the windows credentials that I added to the device in PRTG and they are correct. Some servers are in domain and others are not, but in both cases they present the same error.

What else can I try to try to solve?

Atte.

Firewalls are configured properly, no antivirus application between the two servers and the user in question is an explicit member of the WMI required user groups, is that correct?

Yeah. The firewall is fine, there is not antivirus, and the users is and Administrator, as well as, member of wmi groups. DCOM is setup correctly and root/cimv2 allowed for the user. WMI tester works fine, too.

I found the problem: The field domain/hostname is mandatory. PRTG doesn't work without that field, at least for me.

Thanks, Stephan.
