Hi there,

There are multiple ways to set-up a planned downtime. Pausing the notifications under Setup | Account Settings | Notification Templates is one approach. Simply select all relevant notification templates at once and pause them until you've finished the installation of the update.

You can also Pause your objects by defining a one-time maintenance window. To do so, right click the parent object of your device tree (per default "Root") and select Pause | One-Time Maintenance Window. You will have to define a start and end date of your maintenance window in whose time all your objects in PRTG will be paused.

Further insights on to properly announce scheduled network maintenance to your users can be found on our blog.

Best,
Sebastian
