I am presently monitoring a small estate of 7 servers with PRTG. Each weekend one of the servers regularly alerts over a 2 - 3 hr period with high CPU load. Is there a custom sensor or configuration item somewhere that would enable me to have a snapshot of the running processes at the time of the alerts as to date we have not been able to narrow down what processes are causing the alerts.

Hello there,

Thanks for the KB post.

We do not have a native sensor for this, you might need to write a script and use it with Script Sensor. Please have a look at the KB thread below:

How can I see which process takes most of my CPU cycles
