I ran the PRTG Installer and finished it, but a npcap driver was not installed.

Is it mandatory to install the npcap during the PRTG installation?

Is the npcap only needed when using Packet Sniffer sensor?

Hi Jonathan,
It is not mandatory to install npcap. Npcap is only needed when you want to add a Packet Sniffer sensor.
