Hello,
Can someone guide me with process of backup and restore? existing OS is about to go EOL and I have setup new latest windows server. OS will change from 2008 to 2019.
What is the best way to backup entire database and restore?
I install same version of Paessler on the new server.. copy folders etc in same structure and restart?
Thanks

You are able to perform a migration from one server to another by following this detailed guide https://kb.paessler.com/en/topic/88205 and also this Manual https://www.paessler.com/support/how-to/migrate-prtg-installation it contains the steps to move all the configuration and licensing of your server. Once you deactivate the license in the old server it will automatically get a 30 day grace period while the migration is completed. That way you can install the new server and move the configuration while the old server is still running, to minimize downtime.

It is important to know that you must use the same PRTG version on both servers. You need the same version installed in the new server. If you don't have the installer, you can find it in the same server where PRTG is installed right now in this folder C:\Program Files (x86)\PRTG Network Monitor\PRTG Installer Archive

Also make sure the new server meets the System requirements for your PRTG installation based on this link https://www.paessler.com/prtg/requirements
