How to handle disconnected "Remote Probes" better

Votes:

0

We install remote probes on new laptops, to get some status at the health like disk, battery, cpu and so on. But when these systems are not running, it result in a permanent error/alert message that mixes up with critical error from other internal probe systems, when watching the alert dashboard.

Is there anything like setting up a mastersensor and pause the whole remote probe when it is disconnected? Also the setting for "operation times / scan shedule" cant be edit, when the probe is disconnected at the moment.

Message: Error (Bad Request) Cannot continue because the sample is not connected.

Thanks you

Hi,

Currently we cannot offer a solution where you can pause or disable the error message as the Remote Probe isn't connected to your core server which is a "critical" issue for PRTG.
