What could be causing Socket Error # 11002

We have been getting the following error for about 2 months now.

"Nonauthoritative host not found. This error may suggest that the name service itself is not functioning. Socket Error # 11002 (socket error # 11002)"

We have not made any changes to our network configuration, or dns. The sensor Ping is showing as down, however when I ping from any other computer the ping works fine, and dns is resolved. When I check the dns server it is showing all dns services running and functioning properly. The ping shows down for about 10 minutes and then comes back up. We usually get this error once or twice a day, but at random times. What could be causing this error to pop up.

Hi there,
This means that the hostname used in the settings of the device itself cannot be resolved. Log on the Probe host where the sensor got added and try to resolve the name using nslookup in a CMD.

Kind regards
