Certificate Importer - key

I have created a new certificate from a Windows CA and exported it as a PFX (password protected). As the PFX contains information for both certificate and private key I would have expected the importer file to work but it keeps asking for a KEY file. What to do? Convert the PFX to another format?

The link information is not very easy to follow. I got one PFX file and it seem i need 3 files. Is it possible to have easy to follow instruction on what to do.
