New BGP sensor doesn't have the IP in the name

Hi everyone, I have an older version of PRTG(15.x) where I monitor the BGP state using the SNMP sensor linux snmp (ax bgp disman etherlike host) -> bgp peer state When I add the sensor it automatically add the Ip to the name (ex. bgp peer state 10.1.1.2).

Now I'm a PRTG 20.4 and when I add the sensor the name is only bgp peer name. Why is that? I need PRTG to automatially add the IP to the sensor since otherwise it's impossible to use them properly.

bgp sensor-name snmp-sensor

Hi there,

for validation, did you add the Sensor according to this manual: https://kb.paessler.com/en/topic/25313-sensor-for-bgp-status#reply-267451
