Alarms (guages) stopped working on one part of a map

Votes:

Somewhat odd issue that started after latest update. We have used the data tables / alarms (guages) on our maps for years. After the last update they stopped working, but only for one part of the device tree. We have two sections of them on the same map for different areas. One section works the other doesn't. It is just blank. Had to start using the Down Sensors option instead.

Any suggestions of what may have happened?

Hello,

There is a issue in the PRTG version 21.2.67. that affects some map objects. A fix for this issue will be released with the next PRTG version 21.2.68.

Thank you for the reply.

I should have included it before, but this happened when we updated to 21.1.66.1664. We have not updated to 21.2.67 yet. The odd thing was it only affected one group, or probe. Others work just fine.

Hi David,

Thanks for this information. We recommend to wait until the version 21.2.68 becomes available even though you are in 21.1.66. If the problem persists after upgrading we can gather more information to see what is causing this problem. It is better for our developers to work on the latest stable version if a problem happens than t-shooting an older PRTG version. Hope this makes sense.

Regards,

Miguel Aikens

We upgraded to the latest version this morning. Oddly, the gauges worked for about 1 cycle, then stopped. Not sure why. I tried adding them new, but they still do not show the active alerts. When in the map editor, selecting the group on the left, and hovering over alarms gauges on the right, it shows nothing.

Hello there,

If the issue still appears, I would recommend to open an official support case.
