How create a good PING Sensor

Votes:

Hello Team, I want create Ping Sensor to monitoring the single Ping lost. With the standard Ping sensor configuration I receive a "down" state only after 5 ping. My scope is to have a grafical view of a CMD Ping command, I'd like to see every single ICMP request and see a "red point" for each single Ping Lost.

How can obtain this result?

ping snmp wan

Hi,

You can set the Ping sensor to send a single ping instead of multiple requests. Please see this page of the manual

Hi,

In addition to setting the ping sensor to send just one single ping request, you can select "If a Sensor query fails, set sensor to down immediately" within the sensor settings. (if you wish to see a error in PRTG immediately for every failed ping request).
