Good day!
I'm trying to configure SNMP for the QNAP Health sensor in PRTG, and though it looks fine on the NAS' side, and in PRTG too, I get the "No such instance, error 223" issue.
If I use the SNMP tester I get this:
----------------------- New Test ----------------------- Paessler SNMP Tester - 20.2.4 Computername: DPRMTLITMGM Interface: (10.15.220.10) 2021-05-28 10:05:26 AM (15 ms) : Device: 10.15.220.100 2021-05-28 10:05:26 AM (21 ms) : SNMP v2c 2021-05-28 10:05:26 AM (27 ms) : Walk 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.8 2021-05-28 10:05:26 AM (33 ms) : 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.8.1 = "1" [ASN_INTEGER] 2021-05-28 10:05:26 AM (39 ms) : 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.8.2 = "1" [ASN_INTEGER] 2021-05-28 10:05:26 AM (45 ms) : 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.8.3 = "1" [ASN_INTEGER] 2021-05-28 10:05:26 AM (51 ms) : 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.8.4 = "1" [ASN_INTEGER] 2021-05-28 10:05:26 AM (57 ms) : 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.8.5 = "1" [ASN_INTEGER] 2021-05-28 10:05:26 AM (63 ms) : 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.8.6 = "1" [ASN_INTEGER] 2021-05-28 10:05:26 AM (69 ms) : 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.8.7 = "1" [ASN_INTEGER] 2021-05-28 10:05:26 AM (74 ms) : 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.8.8 = "1" [ASN_INTEGER] 2021-05-28 10:05:26 AM (94 ms) : 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.8.9 = "1" [ASN_INTEGER] 2021-05-28 10:05:26 AM (100 ms) : 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.8.10 = "2" [ASN_INTEGER] 2021-05-28 10:05:26 AM (105 ms) : 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.8.11 = "1" [ASN_INTEGER] 2021-05-28 10:05:26 AM (112 ms) : 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.8.12 = "1" [ASN_INTEGER] 2021-05-28 10:05:26 AM (117 ms) : 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.8.13 = "1" [ASN_INTEGER]
I also configured in the device (that is reporting live data on the NAS) the SNMP community string which matches the NAS config, the PORT matches also. I'm using SNMP v2c on both ends.
I can download a MIB file from the NAS, but not sure what to do in PRTG with it. I tried running it through the MIB importer tool and with OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.24681.2.2.11 I get all kinds of interesting info returned in the SNMP tester, but again, if I try to create a Custom SNMP sensor with that OID, it just throws the error 223 again.
All tests are run from the same server that hosts the PRTG Core server, so definitely 161 is open.
Hope this helps! looking forward to your comments!
Thanks
