Good morning Does anyone have a suggestion on how to monitor the card HBA on HPE Server DL380 gen10? The path (active or dead), velocity and so on...

The HBA card is a QLOGIC QLE2692. The Server is a Host of a VMware 6.7 cluster

Hello Marco,

Thank you for your message.

Regarding your card, I invite you to check if the server (ILO) or VMware return information about it via SNMP or other interfaces (such as API for example). If the information are provided by SNMP, then you can use the SNMP custom sensors to monitor them. Of course, you have the possibility to import a specific MIB file in PRTG by using the MIB Importer tool.

In case you can get them via an API, you can use the EXE/Script sensors to execute a script which will execute the request against it and return the data in PRTG. In that case, the response of the script must follow the format defined for the corresponding sensor: https://www.paessler.com/manuals/prtg/custom_sensors

Regards.
