Hey there,

just wondering how long it takes for the primary cluster to copy / sync the database over to a failover cluster at a site with around 2000 sensors?

thanks, Brock

Hi Brock,

This highly depends on your network environment, the connection speed between the nodes and the hardware of the master and the failover server.

Once synced, only partial changes will be synced which is done quickly. Keep in mind that PRTG has got an active/active cluster, so the configuration is up to date on both hosts quickly.

ok great, I'm thinking we are already synced up then. but for some reason the cluster probe device sensors are stuck on pause. any idea what could be causing this? the cluster connection status shows primary node and secondary node are both connected

Hi Brock,

This can have various reasons. Can you please provide a support bundle with log files via the "Setup > Contact Support" page to us? Please refer to this KB article so that we can start the investigation for the paused status.

Kind regards,
