Local Probe Replaced With PRTG Core Server

An update was installed and now my Local Probe shows Disconnected but a new PRTG Core Server is now listed. A ToDo ticket was generated stating "Important! Your monitoring is interrupted because the PRTG core server cannot accept incoming probe connections." The ticket also shows, "Your monitoring is interrupted until this issue is resolved: Could not bind socket. Address and port are already in use." How do I replace the PRTG Core Server with my original Local Probe?

Hello there,

To analyze issues like this, we usually need to analyze the logs and that's easier to handle in a support case. Therefore, please do so and provide us with a support bundle. You can do this by clicking on the bottom right "Contact Support" button in the PRTG web interface.

Kind regards,
Birk Guttmann, Tech Support Team
