How to create custom sensor and its oidlib file with OID info for adding to PRTG SNMP Library Sensor

Votes:

I have the OIDs of a device that I need to monitor. Would like to add them to PRTG SNMP Library Sensor. I have managed to create an oidlib file using the Paessler MIB importer. However, the sensor is always created as SNMP custom advance sensor and added some special characters to the sensor's name. Please let me know how I can create oidlib without mib import from device vendor. Thanks

Hello,

when the sensor is created, the type is determined. Depending on the MIB, it might be Custom Advanced or Custom Table.

Manual OILIB creation is not supported nor documented. As alternative, you can use device templates created off a sample device. Some device template options are documented.
