How to turn PRTG Core Server into Probe

Votes:

0

My company changed its firewall policies so now I'm trying to implement a small standalone PRTG Core Server into my main one by degrading it into a probe. That way I would be able to manage all devices from one interface. So I thought I maybe could export the device list and import it again in my main core server.

Is there such a way? Or do I have to do a clean install of the probe and then autodiscover all the devices again?

devices export migrate probe prtg

Hello,

I'm afraid it's not possible to turn a "PRTG Core Server into a Probe" nor to ex-/import devices in different Core Servers.

If you want to add a Remote Probe to an existing Core-Sever, you can however move sensors from one probe to another by using Drag & Drop on the Management-Tab in the PRTG interface.
