User should be able to specify the supported unit and convert it in UI.

Update, January 18th:
Units for this Beta Sensor cannot be chosen, only custom units are supported. We raised an internal development case to consider this in future iterations of the sensor. Please bear with us that we cannot share an ETA at the very moment.

Thanks for your input Jakub, much appreciated.

Hi there,

You should be able to choose the unit while creating the sensor, and also in the channel settings of the sensor, is that correct? Can you please provide a screenshot of the settings page of the sensor which shows the unit configuration? Thanks in advance!

They are already in the question.

From the screenshots in the initial question, it is clear that the "Channel #1 Custom unit" was configured to BytesDisk and I cannot change it in the settings as seen in the second screenshot.

What other screenshots do you need?

The "Channel #X Custom unit" imply that only CustomUnit is used, and not Unit (as seen in Custom advanced sensor). This is intended? User is supposed to not use the usual value conversions?

Dear Jakub,

I was referring to the settings page of the sensor and I'm not quite sure where you posted a screenshot of "Channel #X Custom unit".

As you mentioned that the unit is set to "Custom", filling the value "BytesDisk" as custom unit won't work, since it's just considered as a string and therefore not changeable via the sensor settings.

You'd need to directly choose that unit and not set it as custom in order to benefit from the automatic unit adjustments.

How? There is no such option when creating sensor.

Screenshot from the sensor creation: no such option

Since your suggestion to configure it is not technically possible, this would indicate two things:

1. It is not supposed to be like that.

This would lead to questions why it is like that. Why it is not possible to use basic functionality of native sensor?

2. I is not supported yet. In that case, when we can expect that the native sensor would support native and basic functionality?
