Installing PRTG 22.x.75 on systems that run Windows Server 2012

PRTG 22.x.75 includes Npcap 1.60. This update affects the network adapter names that Packet Sniffer sensors use from NdisWan Adapter (…) to WAN Miniport (…).

Follow the steps below after you install PRTG 22.x.75:

  1. Navigate to the Sniffer Specific settings in the settings of your Packet Sniffer sensors.
  2. Deselect all networks adapters with a name that matches the following pattern WAN Miniport (…) and click Save.
  3. Select the network adapters that you have deselected in step 2 again and click Save.

Your Packet Sniffer sensors should still work as expected. If you face any issues after the update, contact the Paessler support team.
