PRTG and BACnet - building state monitoring

Hello,

I am interested in the interaction between PRTG and Bacnet.

I haven't had anything to do with Bacnet so far, so unfortunately I don't have any experience of what to look out for. We would like to query bacnet components with prtg and display the collected information.

After some research I come to the conclusion that prtg can monitor Bacnet components. https://blog.paessler.com/protocols-gateways-data-transmission-building-state-monitoring-1/2

I found some more detailed information about Modbus but unfortunately, I have not yet found any detailed instructions for BACnet.

Are there any new features that I don't know or haven't found yet or some useful examples on the subject that I could take a look at?

I would be very grateful for any pointers on this topic.

Many thanks in advance

Hello Jacqueline,

We do not have much experience with BACnet, so we do not have any details we can provide you here. I have seen a case where a customer was able to monitor his BACnet device using Node RED. PRTG has a Node Red connector that can be used for pushing data from Node Red to PRTG. More information about this can be found here: https://www.paessler.com/support/how-to/gateways
