How to monitor Multiple Windows Services

Votes:

0

Hi all,

Need assistance in setting up monitoring for Multiple Services across multiple Servers dealing with One Application.

Reason for asking is because I have 3 Servers (and more for other Apps) that comprise an Application:

Server 1 runs 3 Service named as below:
Apple Blue
Apple Red
Apple Green

Server 2:
Apple White
Apple Black
Apple Pink

Server 3:
Apple Purple
Apple Orange
Apple Yellow

Can some one help me with the steps to set this up in PRTG so that i get alerted if one of the services has stopped and also get alerted that the issue is resolved?

Hello,

Thanks for contacting us.

I understand that you would like to monitor Windows services, correct?

- Do you have already the sensors monitoring these services? If not, I will recommend to use the Windows Process Sensor. Doc: https://www.paessler.com/manuals/prtg/wmi_process_sensor

- To enable the sensors to notify you when the services are stopped you can use the following step by step: https://www.paessler.com/support/how-to/notifications-webinterface

Hope this helps.

Regards,
