Hello Dear customer.

The PE002 error normally refers to a DNS resolution error. Please check this article: https://kb.paessler.com/en/topic/32813-what-does-error-code-pexxx-mean

Can you please answer the following questions:

  • Do you have other sensors on the device (HTTP, Ping, ...) ?
  • Do they keep working or do they also fail?
  • What version of PRTG are you running and what's your scanning interval for the sensors on that host?
  • Do you have many sensors/servers with the same error?

Best Regards,
