Connecting to IMAP Server: Command received in Invalid state.

Hello together,

since today in the morning, we have a little problem with an SMTP-IMAP Round Trip Sensor.

I have updated our PRTG to Version 22.2.77.2204 via the Update function in the Web GUI. After the successfully update, this sensor is red with the message "Connecting to IMAP Server: Command received in Invalid state"

There were no other changes in our environment. Restart and recreating this sensor did not help. I checked the credentials and if the prtgadmin user is locked and so on.

Any ideas what else I can try out?

Hello,

This error message "Command received invalid state" can occur if no SSL connection can be established. The following articles might help here:

- https:cknotes.com/imap-login-bad-command-received-in-invalid-state.
- https:social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/

Have you tried using Port 993 in the sensor settings?
