  3. Triggers alarm or events when the status of an application changes Support through (Message SMtp,SMSsmSC)
  4. Discover applications and their properties in a smart way
  5. The polled devices may have multiple process and the solution must monitor all involved process tree
  6. The Application Monitoring system should support the custom application monitoring which may be extended ports or ports created by Dev Teams. Support Distributed tracking for Micro services architecture
  7. Application Monitoring Solution must trigger monitor the status of Application / services role i.e (Exchange ServicesActiveSync, owa,POP etc) (Active Directory components like Authentication, authorization,DNS service.

Hello,

Thank you for your message.

For such demand, please contact our Presales team at [email protected] instead so you do not get extra delay to get a response, and eventually schedule a demo with one of our engineers.

Nevertheless, here is the information you are looking for:

  • Discover all types of applications i.e LINUX based ,Window based, MAC OS PRTG has a wide range of sensors you can use to monitor applications and devices depending on the protocols they support (SSH, SNMP, etc.). You will find the list here: https://www.paessler.com/manuals/prtg/available_sensor_types
  • The solution should be able to collect the data from the different application Platform. Open Telemetry integration. You can monitor data from different applications as long as they provide them via an interface (such as an API) or a protocol (ex: SNMP, WMI). Depending on this, you can use the appropriate sensor(s) from the list above.
  • Triggers alarm or events when the status of an application changes Support through (Message SMtp,SMSsmSC) PRTG offers multiple notification methods including emails and SMS. I invite you to have a look at our How-To guide, dedicated manual and YouTube to see how they work and how to use them:

https://www.paessler.com/manuals/prtg/notifications_settings#methods https://www.paessler.com/support/how-to/notifications-webinterface https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rK2qY7CgV08

  • Discover applications and their properties in a smart way You have the possibility to execute auto-discoveries in PRTG based on default or custom templates which contains multiple sensors defined for a specific purpose. However, to monitor specific information from a device or application, manual work will be needed.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jVZR1CbAGSc https://www.paessler.com/manuals/prtg/auto_discovery https://www.paessler.com/de/support/how-to/auto-discovery

  • The Application Monitoring system should support the custom application monitoring which may be extended ports or ports created by Dev Teams. Support Distributed tracking for Micro services architecture
  • Application Monitoring Solution must trigger monitor the status of Application / services role i.e (Exchange ServicesActiveSync, owa,POP etc) (Active Directory components like Authentication, authorization,DNS service.

PRTG has many sensors to cover multiple aspects including emails, DHCP/DNS services, websites, network, etc.

However, in case there is no sensors for a specific application/service you desire to monitor, you have the possibility to use custom ones to get the information, such as:
- Python Script Advanced
- EXE/Script | EXE/Script Advanced
- SNMP Custom | Custom Advanced | Custom Table
- SNMP Library (to use specific MIB files)
- SSH Script | SSH Script Advanced etc.

Regards.
