Structure Dependencies

Hello community,

we need to carry out hundreds of locations and would like to automize this as much as possible. For this we are working wich templates for devices which works good, but we are looking for something similar for structures.

Reason is that we set up a new, empty structure with only a few devices where only the IP has to be changed (Routers). We would like to set up an dependency for the location if the router is down.

We tried to clone the "new location" structure, but then the dependency sticks to the old location.

Any way to automate this? thanks in advance, Frank

Hi Frank,

Thanks for reaching out to us! I understand what you're looking for, unfortunately this is not possible natively by cloning and using device templates. Cloned objects will always hold the same dependency information than the original object. You can take a look at the third party of LordMilko, but this will require some scripting afford on your end.

Kind regards,
