Custom Sensor with 22bit bitmask and lookup

Votes:

Hello everyone. I need your help, please.

I have a SNMP Custom Advanced sensor, whose OID returns (according to the manufacturer) a 22-bit bit mask.

I still do not configure the lookup, because I have the following problem: it returns fractional values, for example 1.93 or 3.33

The configuration I have put in that channel is:

OID Configuration

  • Channel name nº1: Transmitter errorcode bitmask
    • Channel OID No. 1: 1.3.6.1.4.1.X.1.1.15.0
    • Channel value type No. 1: Absolute (unsigned integer)
    • Channel Unit No. 1: Custom
    • Custom Channel Unit No. 1: #

The type of value, I understand should not be Absolute (signed integer) and Absolute (float) or Delta (counter), because are not compatible with the unit Lookup.

Thank you very much, any contribution will be welcome

Hello,

in order to use bitmasks in Lookups, the value has to be an integer. If the device returns a float instead, bitmasks cannot be used in PRTG.
