Migrate Sensors of Core Server to a Probe Server

Votes:

0

Hi

Is there a migration path of Migrating all Sensor (with or without Historical data) from a core server to a probe server which is "linked" to the core server?

Example:
Coreservername: ServerCORE01
Probeservername: ServerPROBE01

- The ServerPROBE01 is linked to ServerCORE01.
- ServerCORE01 has a few Sensors and Groups which I want to move to ServerPROBE01

How can this be achieved?

migration probe prtg remoteprobe

Hello,

I see that you want to move all sensores from the Local Probe to a remote Probe, is this correct?

You can move entire groups of servers to different remote probes. Just make sure that you don't use probe dependent sensors, such as "SNMP Trap", Syslog Receiver" or QoS.

To move a group or server click with the right mouse button on a group or server and choose "Move... > To other group". Now you can choose the new location of the group or server.

I hope you find this information is useful to complete your task.
