Ping, alert on successed

Hello, I have a host that shouldn't be on the LAN and want to create a simple ping rule that alerts when the ping successes, and doesn't alert when the ping fails. Reverse of how the sensor would normally expect to operate. Can this be done, or am I the first to ever ask for such a test?

Hello there,

Thanks for using PRTG.

I would recommend trying out the "Ping v2 Sensor" however, note that this sensor is still in the Beta status. You may visit the Ping v2 Sensor Manual for more information. Follow link below:

The other alternative is to try out the Inverse Ping using the "Custom EXE/Script Sensor". Please visit this Knowledge Base article for further guidance. It provides steps on how to achieve this. Follow link below:

I have added the Ping V2 (Beta) sensor and so far it seems to be working as needed / intended. Thank you for the suggestion!
