Channel : value type "Delta" display

Hi,

I have setup a snmpcustomsensor (oid) wich return an integer. This value is generated from a postfix server (total sent mails) with snmp extend.

On OID Settings, I've choosen the value type : Delta. I selected this option because I want to be alerted of the number of emails sent over a period of 1 hour and over 4 hours.

In the "overview" tab, I want to set an alert threshold (Example: Alert if the number exceeds 100). But I can only modify the "Last value (speed)" parameter.

How can I set thresholds on the "Last Value (Volume)" parameter ? Below, a screenshot of my sensor : Custom Sensor

Hi there,

The delta option will calculate the difference between the current and the latest value. This means that if you want to trigger an alarm dependent on the last value, you shouldn't use this option. Therefore I would recommend to use the option to just show the latest value.

Kind regards
