ServiceURL placeholder does not pass through to PowerShell script in EXE sensor

I have been using the EXEXML sensors for years and they give me great flexibility, but today I wanted to start using part of the serviceURL string in the code. All the other placeholders that I have used have been resolved correctly, but the serviceurl parameter seems to be passed in as a literal value of "serviceurl" Is this a bug, or have I done something wrong? NOTE: this parameter works perfectly when used in a notification template!
