Hello, we want to change the domian on the PRTG Core server. What impact will this have on the system (databases)?

The migration of the AD is successfully tested. Now we want to change the domain on the server.

Thank you and best regards,

STEP 2: PREPARE YOUR PRTG SERVER

Make sure the computer running PRTG is member of the domain you want to integrate it to. You can check this setting in your machine's System Properties (for example, Control Panel | System and Security | System, click Change settings link).

Hello Kim,

Thanks for using PRTG.

In case of Domain change, all parts of the PRTG Core server where the FQDN is used will be affected, such as the remote Probe - Core connection that is FQDN is used instead of IP for example.
Additionally, if you use AD Integration in PRTG, only the local user accounts will work after the migration.

You may want to follow this manual for PRTG Administration tool that illustrates change of Domain.

Kind Regards,
