What are optimal settings for logging activity in PRTG Traffic Grapher 6?

I am currently running PRTG V6.2.2.984 and I am constantly running low on disk space. I understand that it needs to retain data to produce the histories - however, I need to be able to clear those out automatically without having to go in manually and delete folders.

In PRTG 6, go to Extras | Options | System and enable the Purge data after option.
