REST Custom Sensor with JWT

Hi

We are trying to setup a [REST Custom Sensor](https://www.paessler.com/manuals/prtg/rest_custom_sensor) which needs to request an authentication token (JWT) prior to do the main request.

Can this be done using the REST Custom Sensor from PRTG?

api authentication bearer jwt rest

Hi there,

Currently the sensor is not able to dynamically retrieve tokens. We have planned that for the full version of the sensor though, but we don't have a release date yet for this sensor.

Best regards.

Hi Paessler

Available in the mean time? We need this. Most of our APIs have JWT token with a short lifetime.

Hello,

Thank you for your message.

Regarding token management, please fill in the survey for the Rest Custom v2 sensor, on our Roadmap (under Working on): https://www.paessler.com/prtg/roadmap

Then, I invite you to use a custom script with one of the EXE/Script sensors which will allow to get a new token when necessary. Please, have a look to this manual regarding how to return information in PRTG via custom scripts.

If you have questions, let us know.

Regards.
