Dear Mark,

I'm afraid there is no explicit option to reset this data. You would have to create a new sensor.

Best Regards.

I would like to see this as well. For example, I preconfigure devices and test the snmp before sending them out to the field. Sometimes it makes sense for them to show as down until they are deployed so I get an alert when they come online, but I don't want the history to show all the downtime.

Hi Mark,

This would be possible with a few API calls that first clone the sensor to the same parent device and next delete the original sensor.

On the downside, the sensor would not automatically reappear in maps or libraries. But, if you can live with that...

Regards,

Just a 'me too' really - we're doing more customer-centric dashboards, but some sensors have downtime logged that we've incurred in testing, and we'd rather 'reset' and present a nice clean uptime metric without needing to rercreate the sensor.

It would be very nice with a "clear History" or "reset statistics"= period for certain sensor in a enviroment. The use of the Top-10 map feature would benefit greately from this i real production and reporting to management.

You stuborny do not want to introduce that feature for 3 years already and it is reallly required. All setups have some initial time when you buid a system and downtimes ocuures. When it goes into production I need to reset the downtime so the customer can enforce the SLA on me.

Maciej, this is easily done with cloning these groups / devices. They will keep the settings then, but start of with fresh data.

Clone is not an acceptable response due to the need for keeping relationships to maps, libraries, reports, etc. We need a means to clear the historic data or at the very least, reset the sla reporting metrics. This would be something that should only be allowed by specific permissions holders such as a super admin.

There is significant value in this feature. Please consider this more seriously.

Hello Greg,

I would invite you to open a feature request for this. In that way we can see the feedback of the community and if there is significant value in this feature.

Kind regards
