What permissions should I give to

Votes:

I am following the instructions for trouble shooting the pe087 error and it seems like this is the solution that we need: https://kb.paessler.com/en/topic/59590-exe-script-pe087-not-working-even-the-demo-ones

However, we can't give all permissions to an account (security reasons)

What are the exact permissions needed by the mydomain\myaccount? We normally don't make service accounts local admins (they just have normal user permissions). Should this log on as a service? Log on as a batch? act as part of the OS?

Thanks,

Alvin

Does this error come up with every EXE sensor that you try to run or only with one specific one?

This error comes up with every EXE sensor after certain amount of time(sporadic, sometimes 3 hours, sometimes 9 hours). It takes a system reboot for the sensors to come back online.

For testing purposes, would it be possible to try running the probe service with domain admin credentials to see if it solves the issue? If you are getting this error after a sporadic period of time, I'm not sure running the probe service with another account other than the system account will work.
