Changing Channel Name via API

Votes:

1

Hi, we have a lot of VMs with custom HTTP sensors. The sensors are configured for 10 channels, 3 of them were spare ones, providing no real data. Now, we started using two of the three spare ones so we would like to rename them accordingly in all of our sensors. I want to do it not from GUI but using REST API (like I said, we have many such sensors) - but I can't find anything in docs what would be helpful. Can you point me to the right direction - how to batch rename channels using PRTG API?

Thanks, Richard

Sorry, managing channels via API is not possible as of right now. I'll flag this thread as a feature request so it'll be considered for future development, if enough people want it.

May I ask if this request was implemented in a meantime?

Thank you, Ivan

Due to the lack of popular demand, it's unfortunately still not possible to rename the channels via API.
