How to diagnose PE018 with Windows Update Sensor

Votes:

0

Hello

I'm monitoring eight remote servers, all of which are Small Business Server 2011 (e.g. Windows 2008 R2). All have a remote probe installed (v15.x.x.x). The PRTG Core is on a 2012 R2 box.

For seven of the remote probe machines, The Windows Update Status (Powershell) command is working great, but for the last machine I only ever get a PE018 error (timeout). On all machines, including the failing one, the output of $PSVersionTable is the same.

There's a thread here:

https://kb.paessler.com/en/topic/63400-windows-update-powershell-timeout-code:-pe018

but only one reply and that reply doesn't seem to change anything.

Is there a way to diagnose what might be wrong, perhaps a log file somewhere on one of the machines?

Many thanks

Jim

Exactly configured the same way? Are you running the sensors directly on the probe device (with the IP 127.0.0.1) or a device configured under that probe?
