Report bandwidth by Dest IP with packet sniffer sensor

Votes:

Hello,

We are testing your solution and one of our need is to create bandwidth report by Destination IP per month.

I already setup a packet sniffer sensor and a bandwidth report.

Unfortunately the bandwidth report show me the total of traffic but I didn't find how to create channel by Destination IP.

Do you know if it is possible ?

Thank you

At the moment there's no further aggregation of the collected data possible besides the views presented in Toplists of the sensor. More extensive reporting on Toplist data is in the making and may be released in 2016, if functionality, handling and performance work out as planned.

See also this post, which is about FlowSensors, but the same applies here, too.

Kind regards.

Hi,

Can we get 2 new toplist Data Table mapobjects made with just 2 columns please -> 1) Destination IP OR Source IP 2) Bandwidth consumed

My company needs this done, to track certain things. I found the mapobject "Primary Toplist of a sensor", but we need it aggregated by Destination IP or Source IP only, depending on the scenario Doesn't feel like it should be that produce these versions to me? Just remove the Source IP, and Destination IP, and then do some summing on the bandwidth column. How would I make a formal request for this? Surely I wouldn't be the only customer interested in this?

Hi Shaun,

I would suggest to post this as feature request as described here.

Kind regards,

Erhard
